No Alternative was quite active in the '77 punk scene. Their music appeared on many now out of print and rare 7"s and compilations, including the title track which was on the tremendous S.F. Underground comp 7" where many of us oldsters first heard the band with their anthem "Johnny Got His Gun." This vinyl-only piece compiles a best of with tracks from the Wingnut CD released a in 1999, eliminating any filler, and adding some rare cuts such as a version of the RIK L RIK song "Meathouse."
