Tasiemka - to świeży oddech - szczery, mocny przekaz - bez żadnego kombinowania.

English version (use by Google Translator)

We recently said goodbye to year 2017. A lot of interesting records have appeared, which will be soon sought after by collectors. We are watching all the time also a boom on the vinyl record market. Young people eagerly reach for the classics that parents have listened to - and all these phenomena are very positive. However, we will not write about the summaries. The new 2018 year began and - in Polish independent music - a very strong accent. We are not talking about the so-called "market" because everyone buys where it suits him. It is an exceptional item on the national alternative scene. What about it?

Recently, the record of the band Tasiemka - Throw these apples - was released by the cult OBUH Records label - run by Wojcek Czern. The band took its name from the pseudonym Tata Tasiemka, used by Łukasz Siemiątkowski - a Polish, pre-war gangster - and this is how the record came in with such a flourish and in a truly gangsta style. With all responsibility, we can say that it is one of the most important and best records that have appeared on the domestic alternative music market since good few years. We will not analyze the songs one by one because they are all pearls and you must have to listen to them.

The album - which OBUH is famous for - is pampered in every respect. It was recorded on analog equipment, and they are responsible for implementation mentioned Wojcek and Piotr Nykiel (mastering). The musicians did not go easy and deliberately gave up digital devices. The effect of this is fantastic, juicy sound known from releases made at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. The cover of the album is decorated with the work of an outstanding American artist photographer - Vivian Maier. The music section - Czif, Kula and Magda - works like a well-oiled machine. The song is complemented by the lyrics of the vocalist - Łukasz Bireta, who has exceptional intuition and poetic sensitivity. Each song could be the voice of a generation the last decade. I will just add that the concerts are even better. Sometimes we get the impression that we are at an MC5 or The Stooges concert.

Polish pain and bane indie scenes is coming up, and ... what would you screw up here, gentlemen? That's why there are dozens of bland, nothing to add, no useless production, and more and more jaded cult bands release albums only to continue their existence. Tasiemka is a fresh breath - honest, powerful message - without no combining. Noteworthy is the fact that the funds for recording the album, the band collected in crowdfounding action - not asking for great sponsors or managers. We hope that we will also be able to edit on a vinyl record, because it would be a sin not to release this material on this kind of media.

This record in your collection should have every self-respecting lover of independent music. Unfortunately, the effort is limited and is not available in a wider distribution - hence the threat that it may end soon. It is currently available on Discogs and one Warsaw Offside club. There are also no satisfactory sound samples that we could here post because those present on the internet absolutely do not represent the sound of the album or group. So we put only two clips from the rehearsal.
