Founded in the late 1970s as a live performance project by members of Extempore, MCH Band and the maverick composer/conductor Petr Křečan, Kilhets broke new musical ground. Working with a jazz-rock structure and improvisation, the band sounded at times like a punk version of Miles Davis' Bitches Brew sessions with Stockhausen at the baton. Further informing Kilhets' sound were dynamics culled from the rich Czech classical conservatoire tradition and signals received from Krautrock experimentalism. Compared to the calculated nature of much of the jazz fusion of the time, Kilhets represents where the music could go if it had a sense of poetry and larger doses of musical skill and intestinal fortitude. OdpowiedzUsuńTa legendarna grupa czechosłowackiego podziemia znana jest głównie z całkowicie swobodnych free rockowych improwizacji i ta jej odsłona obecna jest na wszystkich płytach świetnego, wydanego w metalowym etui, zawierającego 5 CD boxie firmy Black Point. Tutaj mamy nieco inną stylistykę. To dalej jest improwizacja ale jednak nieco „skrępowana” wyczuwalnym szkicem myśli. Cztery impresje na temat słów dramatu Vladimira Holana, które czerpią z psychodelii, minimal music, jazzu i kameralistyki. Najważniejszą postacią jest tutaj z pewnoscią lider, perkusista Petr Krecan, którego bębny zawłaszczają najmocniej przestrzeń a w wolne pola wbija się saksofon i gitara Mikolasa Chadimy i radziecka elektronika o nazwie Pille obsługiwana przez Lesika Hajdovskiego. W czasie swych koncertów, grupa często chowała się pod różnego rodzaju maskami, "nomadycznymi" pelerynami i dość często z zaskoczenia atakowała publikę momentami całkowitej ciszy tą formę komunikacji traktując tak samo jak porozumienie poprzez dźwięk.
